This Privacy Policy describes how Covello collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application. We are committed to keeping your data safe and being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Collect
Covello collects minimal personal information:
- Anonymous Account ID: When you first open the app, we assign a random, anonymous identifier. No email, phone number, or personal identity is required to use Covello.
- Check Session Data: Scenes you select, checklist responses, Ready or Almost results, fix suggestions, recheck history, and your preferences (such as default scene) are stored so the app can provide and reuse your readiness guidance.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how you use the app, such as which features you use and general interaction patterns. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
- Reference Photos (optional): Only photos you explicitly choose or take are saved — for example, as optional look snapshots attached to a check in your Log. We never access your camera roll automatically. With your permission, we may access your device camera or photo library when you attach a reference image.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide outfit and makeup readiness checks, results, fix hints, and your check Log.
- Process App Store purchases and maintain your credit balance.
- Improve check quality, fix bugs, and understand feature usage in aggregate.
- Respond to support requests when you contact us.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not build facial recognition profiles or biometric identity templates.
- We do not identify or verify individual identities from photos.
- We do not share your photos with third parties for advertising purposes.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not track your location.
4. Optional Photos & Camera
When you attach optional reference photos to a check, here's what you should know:
- Photos are used solely for the feature you requested — saved as look snapshots in your Log.
- We do not create, store, or transmit facial recognition templates, biometric data, or face maps.
- Reference photos are stored on your device as part of your check history.
- You can remove reference photos or clear your check history at any time within the app.
5. Where Data Is Stored
- Check history, preferences, and reference photos are primarily stored on your device.
- When cloud features are enabled, completed session summaries may be mirrored to secure cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- We apply access controls so only systems that need the data can reach it.
6. In-App Purchases
Covello offers optional in-app purchases for credits used to unlock readiness checks. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only a transaction confirmation — we never see or store your full payment card details.
7. Analytics
We may use anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand general app usage patterns and improve your experience. This includes crash reports and session counts. Install attribution may be measured where enabled. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
8. Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store: Handles in-app purchase payments.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Provides secure storage for session summaries and app configuration when cloud features are enabled.
- Analytics & Attribution: Aggregated install and campaign measurement where enabled.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.
9. Data Retention
- Your check history and preferences remain stored on your device until you clear or reset them.
- You can clear check history or export your data at any time within the app.
- If you reset all data or request deletion, your information will be removed in accordance with our retention schedule.

- You may clear check history or export your data within the app.
- You may reset all data on your device from Settings.
- You may request deletion of all your data by contacting us.
11. Children's Privacy
Covello is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 12.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of Covello after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
